Blue Honey Bees Plate
£25.00
This Plate was created in Stoke on Trent and designed and illustrated by Katie Spragg in London. The inspiration for this plate came from a French mystery: the Bees that produced coloured honey. In 2012, the beekeepers from Alsace were very scared when bees started producing blue, red, yellow and brown honey. They then discovered that there was a biogas plant 2.5 miles away processing waste from a Mars factory producing M&M's, which the bees had been feeding on, attracted by its sweetness. This illustrated bone china plate features the bees and their blue honeycomb.
